How to Make Candied Walnuts


Place a non stick fry pan on stove at medium to high heat. Add the walnuts and sugar together in the pan.

Do not leave at this point. Once you see the sugar begin to melt (as in the next photo) begin stirring as to not let the sugar burn.

As you can see, the sugar is beginning to melt.

Keep stirring until the walnuts are evenly coated with the sugar and it begins to caramelize. If you begin to see it smoke take it off the heat and continue to stir. You do not want burnt sugar!

As you can see here the sugar is caramelizing and the walnuts are evenly coated.

Evenly spread the walnuts out on the wax paper and let cool for at least 10 minutes!!

The best way to get the candied walnuts off the wax paper is to grab each end of the wax paper and give it a good smack against the counter a few times.

YUM!
