How to Sauté Mushrooms

Gather your IngredientsOlive Oil, a skillet, mushrooms, and salt (optional)

Set pan on medium heat and pour in a few teaspoons of olive oil.

How to tell when oil is hotPlace a very small piece of mushroom in the pan. If it sizzles immediately, the oil is hot.

When oil is hot, add the mushrooms and stir so they are evenly covered with oil. You should hear the mushrooms sizzling.

Continue cooking mushrooms; stir them every few minutes so they don't burn.

After a few minutes, you'll notice a sheen of moisture over the mushrooms. This is liquid being expelled from the mushrooms. Add a pinch of salt if you don't see this sheen.

Continue cooking and stirring occasionally until mushrooms are golden brown color

They are done and ready to eat!
